Home Remedies To Avoid Hair Breakage

1. Treatment Using Hot Oil

Try using hot oil messages. This is not only a remedy for hair breakage but also for dry hair as well as damaged one. Various natural oils such as olive, almond, castor, corn, lanolin and coconut oils are normally used. They are excellent in restoring moisture, which is essential in stopping breakage or brittleness. They are also a source of nourishment.

To use this treatment, you will warm about 4 tbsp on any of these oils, and massage your head, ensuring each hair has this oil, wrap it with a hot towel or shower cap to give the oil a chance to penetrate your scalp and hair deeply. Leave it overnight or rise after at least 20 minutes using normal shampoo and lukewarm water.

2. Remove Split or Dead Ends of Hair

Getting the split or dead ends trimmed is not counterproductive to growing hair. Rather it helps in growing your hair stronger and making it thick. The trick is just to get rid of split or dead ends only and not the whole chunks of hair. By trimming split ends you cut down the chances of your hair becoming dry and brittle and needing a full haircut.

The split ends when becoming out of control travels up your hair shaft, your hair then will either break or need a full haircut. Instead of getting into this mess, we advise you to act proactive and trim the bottom of the hair, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of hair every three to four months. If you are growing hair remember to tell your hair stylist beforehand about it ask him to remove hair not more than a 1/2 inch.

When you are trimming your hair yourself, use the scissors that are sharp and are meant specifically for cutting / trimming hair.
